Christ According to the Word of God by Joyce Meyer

So, our emotions are definitely connected to our thought life.Joyce Meyer teaches us what the bible says that God has a good plan for our life but in order to ever experience that plan, our mind must be completely renewed, and that means that we have to learn to think the way that God thinks and not think the way we’ve been taught to think in the past. According to Joyce Meyer,  I have to learn to believe what God says about me more than I believe what other people have said about me, and I can’t get my worth and value out of what other people think.

For example, twice this week at Joyce Meyer Ministries two different people have said to me in two different situations, “I just think you care too much about what people think.” The second time, I said, “you know what? I like myself and I like the fact that I care about people’s feelings and I like the fact that I don’t want to hurt people, so there! I like being me. It took me a long time to get nice and I’m not going to turn around now and go back and try to be mean.”

Joyce Meyer Online mentioned that there would have been a time when I would have agonized for days, “do I care too much about what people think? Nya-nya-nya. Nya-nya-nya-nya-nya.” See, the only reason why I can respond differently now is because I finally know who I am in Christ according to the word of God. Joyce Meyer teaches us that just hearing a message every now and then is not going to fix your life; you have to really study the word. But if you will do that, in a very short period of time you can begin to turn that thinking around, and when the thinking is turned around, it will start to turn the emotions around. And, of course, in the midst of all that, we’re trusting God, we’re trusting the Holy Spirit, we’re asking him to touch us and do what only he can do in the deepest part of our spirit where those wounds are.
