Narrator: two months after she moved in with her brother, her daughter was born.

When Joyce Meyer online came out, she looked normal. I counted her toes and fingers that every parent, regardless of what kind of pregnancy, does. I asked them, “can you check her? Can you check her?” can you check her?” they did something called an apgar.

I remember them doing an apgar on her. I said, “do it all. Do whatever you have to do.” they came back and put her in my arms and said “she’s beautiful.” she responded. She got all nines on this; ten is the best that she can get. They put her in my arms. It was the first time I had ever held a baby, any baby. Joyce Meyer ministries reached up and grabbed my little finger and I remember her hand just going around my finger. I remember looking down at her and at that moment is when I knew that no matter what it took, no matter how hard it was, no matter what pain was involved that I was going to overcome everything of my childhood and everything of my past.

Joyce Meyer – people have been so turned off by that. I think a lot of people have even tried going to a church and they’ve had a bad experience, so now they think God can’t help them when really they didn’t encounter god at all; they encountered a lot of religious rules and regulations.

Joyce Meyer ministries stated that what you need to do is deposit yourself with God, ask him to straighten you out, and you need to get busy sowing seeds into somebody else’s life so god can bring a harvest in your own.  (applause) can I give you a secret? The less you think about yourself, the happier you’re going to be. (applause) now, I don’t mean not to do things for yourself. I don’t mean not to take care of yourself. Joyce Meyer online says that there’s a balance in everything. But you don’t need to go around all day long like that little robot I do for you on tv, just saying all day: what about me?  What about me? What about me?  What about me? What about me?  Beep-beep. What about me?  What about me? What about me?  (applause)

Joyce Meyer aims to get yourself off your mind! (amen!) Start washing some feet. Well, what if they stink? (laughing) some of the things that god asks you to do may not be the prettiest things in the world and they may not be the most pleasant things in the world but do them.  You’d be amazed how many divine appointments you’re missing because you don’t know what might be waiting for you, what miracle may be waiting for you at that little unpleasant foot-washing task. I saw a woman in a restaurant yesterday and she told me this story. She said, “God had asked me to make a meal for somebody who was battling cancer and take it to them.”  she said, “first of all, I don’t like to cook and secondly, I was really busy and I didn’t really want to do that so I murmured and grumbled but I knew god wanted me to do it, and then I repented because I murmured and grumbled and I took the meal.

Joyce Meyer online while I was there, I met a woman who works for your media-buying agency in Tulsa and she said: ‘oh, well, if you’re going to go to the Joyce Meyer meeting, I can get you front row seats.'” (whoo!) (applause) you never know what that foot washing may get you. (laughing) you have to understand that god can bless you anywhere. Some of you are so intent on finding somebody to marry. Well, you know what?  If you’re serving God, you could take out your trash and meet somebody. Come on! (applause) come on, I want the church to get happy! I want you to enjoy your life and I want you to enjoy yourself! (cheering)

Joyce Meyer ministries – wow! My producers tell me that in talking with you, one of the struggles that you face is that Christian people sometimes don’t know what to do with you because you don’t quite fit the “religious mold” that many people try to put us into, which is not god’s heart, but people do that.

Joyce Meyer means that you take a chance. Faith means that you step out and find out. Faith means that you’re willing to even be wrong if that’s what you have to do to find out what the next step is that god has for you. Applause: anyway, so this man had always been a pastor and he started getting something else in his heart.  He felt like he wanted to teach the bible in college. “Oh no, but I’m a pastor.” so he couldn’t reconcile what he was used to and what made sense, to what he was feeling in his heart. Joyce Meyer Ministries says that so he wrestled and he wrestled and he wrestled and he wrestled, and it came down to the point where he had to make a decision.

Joyce Meyer Online stated that he had an epiphany moment with god where god said to him, “know this, whatever you choose, I’ll be with you.” and you know what? That kind of freedom scares us because we cannot imagine a god like that because we still have this idea that God is in heaven with his hammer saying, “you better do this and you better do exactly this, and if you don’t do exactly this, you are going to be in big trouble.” laughing: so here we are: what if I miss god? What if I miss God? What if I miss god? Oh, I’m so afraid to make a mistake.  Oh, god, please, show me what you want me to do, what you want me to do… Can I get a witness from any human being here? But see, the whole thing is, and I’m not suggesting that you start doing stupid stuff but the whole thing is 95 percent of what you’re supposed to do is in the word.

Joyce Meyer Ministries stated that the other five percent is yours to be creative with and kind of find out. I didn’t know I was going to preach.  I was a bookkeeper and an office manager and a nut. laughing: I remember one time we had missions Sunday. And you know, I loved God. I mean, I was stupid but I loved god. I didn’t know anything because I hadn’t heard much of the word, so I just kept living in misery even though I was born again. And that’s why I have such a passion to help people really enjoy the life that Jesus died to give them because I think with everything he went through and for you to stay miserable, that’s a tragedy. It’s just a tragedy. But I know how much the devil does not want you to enjoy your life.  And I know if you’re going to enjoy your life, you’re going to have to fight the good fight. You’re going to have to be determined, and you’re going to have to locate the joy-stealers in your life. “well, it’s my circumstances.” no, it’s not; it’s your attitude toward your circumstances. Everybody has a circumstance.

Joyce Meyer Online – It was great because I wanted him to be in a class where everything was all wonderful and perfect, but the lord taught him and the lord taught me, “no, you’re to be that light for that little boy so that he can feel the love of God.

Joyce Meyer Onlinestated that I want to talk this morning about the hope of seeing change in your life. Is there anybody here who needs a change in any area? yeah!: A lot of people in the world are hopeless. Jesus didn’t die for us so we could be hopeless. He died for us so we could be hopeful – Full Of Hope. As a matter of fact, Dave and I talk about this often, we believe a lot of people are trying to have faith; but they don’t even have hope. See, hope is the happy anticipation that something good is going to happen in your life.

Joyce Meyer Ministries says that it’s expecting something good. What are you expecting? Some of you haven’t even thought about it; you’re really expecting nothing so you’re getting what you’re expecting. Or maybe you’re expecting a little bit, so you’re getting a little bit. I always say: I’d rather believe for a whole lot and get half of it than to believe for a little bit and get all of it. Doesn’t cost you any more to believe for a lot than it does for a little. Doesn’t cost anything to have hope, but it does cost you a lot if you’re hopeless because everything in your life begins to be down, down, down, down.

Joyce Meyer says hope is a favorable and a confident expectation. It has to do with the unseen and it has to do with the future. The devil wants you to believe that what you have now is what you’ll always have, especially if you have something bad. If you have something good going on right now, he’ll tell you that this will never last, but if you have something bad going on, he’ll tell you this will never change. We need to remember the devil is a liar.

Joyce Meyer Ministries says  I’ll tell you what’s hard: Staying in bondage is hard. Looking at yourself in the mirror and never liking the way you look, that’s hard!

Joyce Meyer Ministries says that that’s not what I’m talking about. But I’m talking about to be able to say: I have this problem, this problem, this problem, and this problem. I love God. I want him to fix every one of them. I’m before God all the time asking him to do what needs to be done in my life and I am on my way. I’ve not arrived but I’m going to enjoy the journey, and part of enjoying the journey is to enjoy myself. Turn the person next to you, look them right in the eyes and say Joyce Meyer stated that I don’t have to be like you to like myself either! Amen? Amen!:  Man! I had one of the saddest things happen last year. It was during the Christmas holidays and I was shopping. I bought something in a store and the lady said to me: “I watch you on tv but I’m not a Christian. I used to be but now I’ve become a…” And she named this false religion which doesn’t worship the one true God and believe in Jesus. I said: “Well…” she said: I really enjoy your program but I’m not a Christian. And, um, well… Hope you’re not just too comfortable watching me. She seemed pretty friendly. I said, “what do you find attractive about this that you felt was worth giving up Christianity for?” You know what she said to me? She said, “I just felt like when I went to church, I was always made to feel bad about myself and everything I was doing wrong. Joyce Meyer teaches us that this particular religion teaches me that I’m good; I have goodness in me.” I said, “but if you’re hearing the gospel preached the right way, Christians will also tell you that you have goodness in you but it’s not your own goodness, it’s the goodness of God that dwells in you and that God’s goodness will flow through you. Humanism says: It’s mine. I’ve got it. It’s me.

Joyce Meyer Ministries says that we’re only fooling ourselves when we say: I didn’t know any better. I didn’t know. Yes, sometimes we don’t have knowledge but a lot of times we know. We know.

Joyce Meyer Ministries says that unlike baseball — nobody except the pitcher; he’s controlling the game. But the quarterback controls the game in football because he doesn’t throw the ball if he doesn’t get the ball, and now they want to know what he’s thinking next.  So it’s very important that he doesn’t have a lot of excuses.

Kurt: We’re a witness in the good times and the bad times. I think one thing that… I remember when I stood on that podium and said the name of Jesus, I thought, “there’s no way I’m going to have any more impact than I am today for Jesus, standing on this podium.” But then I realized over the course of my career as I had the highs and then the lows, Joyce Meyer stated that I had more people come to me and say, “you’ve witnessed more to me, you’ve had more impact on my life now that I’ve seen you high and low because your life has stayed consistent.” I think that’s what we need to understand, that we can’t just score a touchdown and then thank Jesus, and then when things are going bad, not do anything or not reflect him at all and expect to have a powerful influence.

Joyce: People do watch you in a situation like that.

Kurt: They watch you more, I think.  Joyce Meyer Online stated that because everybody can do it when things are great, but how you handle things when things are tough is your true character, is where your faith really shows.  That’s when I think you best represent or misrepresent Jesus is when things are hard. So that’s where I would encourage the viewers is to understand that it’s not just the good times, but it’s in the bad times that we can be the greatest witness for Jesus.

Joyce Meyer says that welcome back to the program. Zoro is known throughout the music world for his talent but also for his love for Jesus Christ. He says if you want to show people Jesus, you need to show them love. We want you to stay with us today and hear what he has to say about how you can be a bold witness. I always tell people, even people who are non-believers when I meet them, I say: if you were ever sitting in the presence of God, you would never want to leave. God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are so beautiful that all you would want to do is just lie there in his presence. Joyce Meyer Ministries says that when you feel his presence in another person, you will be attracted to it because God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit are irresistible. Another great way that people can witness to people, one of the hugest things and one of the biggest problems in the body of Christ is forgiving people. Letting people off the hook is the greatest revelation that God has touched your heart and God is working in your life. There’s so much resentment, bitterness, anger, frustration and jealousy. If people would just… That could just melt like icebergs, just saying, “you know what? I’ve held this grudge against you for 3 years and I’m going to let it go.” And then people go: Wow. That’s godly. That’s divine. That’s heavenly to forgive somebody. But see, I think you’re right — people really just want to talk to people and say their quick little spiel and then be gone with it because the other stuff requires work.

Joyce Meyer Online I remember when I first got into a real serious relationship with God, the church that I was going to was really big on witnessing so they took teams of people out on the streets on the weekends to pass out tracts. We would even go to the shopping centers. Joyce Meyer says  I mean, you really had a goal to lead somebody to Christ because when you got back, you were going to be asked how many people you led to the Lord.

Joyce Meyer Online says to be honest, sometimes I think people just prayed the so-called sinner’s prayer with us just to get us to go away because we were so obnoxious. The thing that was so ridiculous, which at the time I didn’t even fully comprehend, is I was going out telling other people about Christ… And my heart was right in doing it, but I didn’t have godly character in my own home behind closed doors. Joyce Meyer Online stated that I love what the bible says in Acts 1:8 that when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you shall have the power to be a witness in Samaria, Judea, Jerusalem, to the ends of the earth. So, I think we get too concerned about doing things and not being. And if you are something, then you don’t even really have to try to witness. I don’t go out and try to witness.

Zoro: Yeah, you don’t have to; it’s in you.

Joyce Meyer says yeah. It’s just that’s who I am, that’s what I do: If I can help you, I want to help you. If God opens a door for me to share a word, I want to share a word. I hope that people will think about what we’re saying and begin to realize how important it is that they live the life that their bumper sticker says they have, or their piece of Christian jewelry says they have, or their going off to church every Sunday says they have. By doing those activities, we’re basically telling the world, “now watch me — I’m a Christian.” And we’re not impressing the world too much because of that lack of love that we have shown.

Joyce Meyer Ministries says that the thing is, everything that we do flows out of our heart. To me the heart is the most mysterious, supernatural spiritual organ on the planet because it’s not a physical organ the way we talk about it, but it’s a spiritual organ; yet, you can’t see it but everything flows out of it. So it’s always a question of where is your heart in all those situations.

Joyce Meyer Ministries – What has been your best success story from witnessing?

According to Joyce Meyer Ministries that Christianity says: It’s Christ in me, that we’re new creatures in Christ, that our hope is in him.” She said, “well, you can’t convert me today but there’s hope — I’m still watching your program.” But isn’t that sad? I mean, isn’t it sad? There are so many people that are trying to have a relationship with God and nobody’s telling them enough for them to even know how to have a right relationship with God. People have to be confronted with truth in such a simple straightforward way that there’s no way to get away from it, there’s nowhere to run from it. We don’t have to be religious with people; we need to be simple and straightforward with people. Amen? Amen!: Joyce Meyer Online said that  God loves you! You don’t have to go around feeling rotten about yourself. You need to be sorry for your sins but when you repent, he forgives you. You don’t have to wear yourself out, rocking all your life, staying in the same thing over and over and over, never going anywhere. Amen? Amen!: You can let go of what lies behind, you can learn to think right, you can learn to not live by your feelings. People that are brokenhearted, their will doesn’t function right. They either want to just back off and let everybody walk all over them because they’re so afraid in life or they want to control everything. Everything is out of balance for the person who is brokenhearted. We have to have balance. According to Joyce Meyer that people who are brokenhearted usually don’t have good relationships with anybody because they don’t know how to have and maintain good relationships. Amen? Jesus came to heal the brokenhearted. He came to bind up our wounds and to heal our bruises, to give us beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. But you know what? You have to give up your ashes to get the beauty. One of the big problems we have is a lot of people want to hang onto their ashes. They’ll even read the bible and hang onto their ashes, even quote Isaiah 61:1-3 and hang onto their ashes. “Yes, sir, I got mistreated when I was little and now I’m just this wounded person that everybody needs to spend their life trying to fix me.

Joyce Meyer Ministries – I could come home and shut it off around my kids or around her, but in the locker room it just became natural because you heard it every day, you heard it over and over again.

Zoro: Um…

Joyce Meyer: …Somebody that you shared with that you felt was really a key person or something that was really important for the kingdom.

Zoro: There’s been countless people that I’ve shared with, and to me anybody where I’ve seen the fruit of their life change… There’s been celebrity people that I’ve shared the Lord with who will remain nameless, but then I would begin to see the fruit and the evidence and the change in their life, and I would go, “wow, God, this is awesome,” because they’re influencers. So if I can influence influencers, we’re changing things dramatically because unfortunately people look up to Hollywood and all that stuff. I always tell young people, “do you know what? Don’t model yourself after that world.” I say, “if the flesh could satisfy, then Howard Hughes and Anna Nicole and Elvis and everybody else would have died the happiest people on the earth.” I say, “follow the spirit because the spirit is the part in you that God has given you to find him, but the flesh can’t find him.”

Joyce Meyer Ministries: And everybody is equally important — I totally agree with that — But one of the things that I do pray is that people with positions of influence will be truly born again because when you have a position of influence, immediately you can affect a lot of other people. Now we all have a sphere of influence; I don’t care who we are. If you’re a mother, you have influence over your children. Wherever you work, whatever you do, in the neighborhood, every single person does have an influence. And I think the question that I would like to leave our viewing audience with today is you are having an influence, but what kind of an influence are you having?

Zoro: Correct!

Joyce Meyer Online – Are you having a positive influence or a negative influence? Do you add to people’s lives because you’re up and about today, or do you take everywhere you go? Do you bring people down? Do you lift people up? Do you discourage? Do you encourage? One of the ways that God has shown me that I can love — this is kind of interesting, I think, is many times by not saying something. In other words, if I could criticize you but I choose not to. Or even like little things, like let’s just say my husband has a habit of leaving the light on in his closet. Well, I want to say, “you left your light on again.”
